授業の目的?内容 ／Course Objectives	This one-semester course is compulsory for first-year students. Overall Objectives 1. To increase their vocabulary and strategies for grasping meaning of vocabulary in texts 2. To review grammar and cohesive devises 3. To develop basic reading skills and strategies (pre-reading, during reading and after reading strategies) 4. To develop comprehension strategies to understand reading materials without translating them into Japanese 5. To clarify the structure of a paragraph or essay (dependent on the level of the students)
授業の形式?方法と履修上の注意 ／Teaching method and Attention the course	演習形式による読解と予習による精読を行います。
事前?事後学修の内容 ／Before After Study	授業前にIntensive Readingは訳せるレベルでの読み込みを行ってください。 授業後に演習読解は習った語彙と構文の復習を行ってください。
