授業の目的?内容 ／Course Objectives	Grounded in recent scholarship in psychological, educational and intercultural studies, this course is aimed at helping students to gain a global perspective of study abroad and develop further their intercultural competence and confidence as a learner of the English language. This aim is consistent with the curriculum policy set by English Department that stresses the development of social responsibility as a global/international citizen into students. Topics to be covered include but are not limited to: globalisation and international student mobility; personal and professional impact of study abroad; culture shock; study shock; racism and discrimination; personal growth and transformation; global jinzai (human resources); and online education.
授業の形式?方法と履修上の注意 ／Teaching method and Attention the course	The medium of instruction is English, but Japanese is used, as needed, to supplement the course content. The workload is heavy and comparable to international standards. 【アクティブ?ラーニングの手法に基づき、ManabaとZoomをフルに活用した学習者中心の授業を行います。受講生が提出する全ての課題において、受講生間のピア?アセスメントまたは教員によるフィードバックが行われます。毎週約４時間の事前?事後学修が必要です。リーディング、ライティング、ディスカッション、プレゼンテーションなど、こなさなければならない課題は多いですが、（世界で通用する）高度な学力?英語力を身に着けるための「通過点」として本講義をご利用いただければ幸いです。本講義は原則として英語で行いますが、講義内容を補足するため適宜日本語も使用します。教材?資料はほぼ全てが英語です。】
事前?事後学修の内容 ／Before After Study	Students are required to read all the course materials, write short essays and complete weekly tasks, including a 7-minute Pecha Kucha presentation.
